I think this trade has little affect on the other quarterbacks. It's not like Mac Jones is going to Jacksonville to start. The other places looking for starters are still available.

Mac Jones cannot like this trade. There is No imaginable situation I can think of where Jones gets the start over a Healthy Lawrance.. Unless hes cool with being a backup. Which I highly doubt at this stage of his Career.
I get it for the Jags. Last season should put to rest any doubts the importance of a backup. It also might light a fire under Trevor.

Pats ruined Mac (coming from a pats fan) not saying he doesn’t have ownership as to what happened to him but it’s not all on Mac, while this situation this year isn’t idea for a kid who wants to start, if he sits behind Lawrence for a year and learns from a modern day QB whisperer in Pederson, hopefully Mac’s confidence can bull up and he’d have an opportunity to sign with a team and compete for a starting job the following season. Personally I’m rooting for the kid, I know this situation sucks currently but if he embraces what’s in front of him it can turn into a huge turning point for his career

jones thinks he is better than what he is. Jones played on the best team he will ever when he was at bama. The first 12 games of Jones NFL career will be his best 12 years
This basically means the Jets will have to release Zach Wilson for zip. If Mac is only worth a sixth, Zach is worth nothing. The biggest losers are the Bears, how can Fields be worth over a low 2nd rounder if Mac is only worth a sixth? Still think BB and the Pats idiotic moves screwed Jones's head up. Doubtful he will ever get to starting status again with this trade, but he can still pull in a decent living as a backup for a few more years.
