  1. Thanks Carolina for the low ball offers that helped pushed the train along Pete's contract extension, you did us a solid.

  2. Good Video, as usual, Gio. It's done, nearly on the heals of the Video that you made about the Carolina/Vancouver trade (the hysterical laughing video). LOL

  3. fleeced, 11.6 for this bum who goes missing post season lol

now he puts he's feet up and falls off, no doubt about it lol

  4. This is a total disaster for this year and going forward several more years. I predicted in the preseason that the Canucks would make the playoffs easily, Petey would get his winning season and he would sign in the offseason for way too much money. I am taking my prediction off the table now with the Lindy trade dud and a premature signing of Petey, i didn't predict this signing which is a total disaster. One they are not going to make the playoffs easily as these two massive blunders by management which frankly have done a stellar job over the last year, bringing in the players that were needed to make this team a playoff team. I already new they were about to go on a losing streak because the luck suddenly ran out about 10 games back, but now things have gone from bad to the worst. I knew the players had swollen heads from being on top of the league and they were not listening to coach Toch who warned them they had to clean up their defensive blunders to be in the games down the stretch. Here we are today 7 games into the slide, they now have the Dakota effect which i knew would be really bad (Dakota and Garly have magical chemistry), and were the driving line of this team. Combine that with the tougher stretch drive games (more like playoff games) and a more difficult schedule against really good teams , and now player fatigue (see Quinn Hughes) and you have a disaster in the making. The subconscious effect on the rest of the players on the team watching Petey getting the bag, means they aren't, and will effect their play as they know they are most likely not coming back next year. I have watched that effect on teams that gave the bag to their star players, as it temporarily leads to a 20-30 game losing streak. Missing the playoffs is not off the table at this point and i think one more bad wild swing at knocking the ball out of the park at trade deadline could result in a total strike out. If the Canucks can get past all these challenges, they have decent chance at doing something during the playoffs, cuz to get there is going to mean listening to the coaches and executing on the game plan.

  5. for fun, i imagine pettersson and the team held off this signing and let trade rumors swirl to make teams sit on their hands nearing the trade deadline, hoping for a shot at the swedish sniper.

  6. Players come and go but players whom fans identify with the Canucks are the Sedins. Now the torch is passed onto Pettersson!

  7. Damn, great work by the Canucks and Pettersson's agents
Canucks now have Miller and Petty at pretty team friendly contracts
Combine that with Demko, and Hughes, there is a fantastic core right there to build around

  8. I think this is because of the public outrage. I think he made it clear that he wanted to wait till the off-season, but everyone kept freaking so the contract got rushed and probably resulted in a higher cap hit and the lack of a NMC/NTC. Both sides probably didn't get what they could have/should have gotten. Further, Pettersson wasn't able to focus on playing. All because people were freaking out. He wanted to wait till the off-season so he coudld concentrate on the season, but nobody would let that happen.

  9. Now they can trade him with Boeser, Zadorov, D-Petey and Lakkerimaki to the Devils for the Hughes brothers and Toffoli!!!

  10. I hope Pettersson proves me wrong , the bottom line is a Stanley Cup . I just don't see the Canucks as a playoff team with this signing . I still see Marchand rag dolling one of the Sedins in the Stanley Cup finals. This guy is the answer to playoff toughness? 1970 to 2032 is long time with no Championships .

  11. The genius of this contract s that TSN is reporting that just over 47 million of this is in signing bonuses (let's say 47.8 for easy math) if that is the case that actually means that only 45 million of that 92.8 goes towards the cap. On average we'd be saving 6 million a year towards the cap. How is nobody talking about that?

  12. Think Petey could've easily been a 12 mill player but like a lot of former Canucks they usually give the hometown discount cause they wanted to stay in Vancouver.

The Sedins, Naslund, Linden were signed way below their market value compared to guys making more during that time.

  13. Canucks fans went from months of worrying about the very possibility of losing Petey to wrapping him up through his prime, that's pretty incredible, congrats to you all.

  14. Now with that huge signing with Elias pettersson want is the Vancouver Canucks gonna do for rest of the money they have to use during the NHL trade deadline this coming Friday

  15. This dude soft as baby food. Vancouver regrets this within a couple of years. Especially now that he’s paid what are you gonna do to motivate him when he disappears. Morons.

  16. If you look at players who are on big money contracts today, Karlsson, Nylander, Panarin, Huberdou, Marner, Pastrnak, Doughty, Barkov, Tavares etc., Petey deserves the contract
