  1. Doug did not call the play. Foles did. He wanted to run it and Doug agreed. Doug wanted to call the play against The Vikings and wanted to run it that day, but Foles said "no." They had a big lead and could save it for the Patriots. The play was not even on Doug's play sheet that day and Doug told Ref Gene Steratore pregame that he had no trick plays to be called against The Pats. Doug has a convenient lapse of memory. He should have given full credit to Nick Foles.

  2. Doug will be beloved in Philly for all of eternity. If you've ever been to philly you know how big that is. We are tough people, tougher on coaches and players!

  3. Doug went 7-9 his first year with Philadelphia and then took them to the top year 2. That’s an incredible achievement

  4. Thank you couch Peterson for what u did for Philly Here in Philadelphia will always luv u for dat

  5. I will forever love doug P. As a die hard birds fan, this man made my childhood dreams come true and he will forever have my respect and loyalty

  6. Here' s the truth from an Eagles' fan. In Super Bowl 52, Doug didn't call the play that day. It was not even on his play sheet that day. Nick Foles called it as Nick refused to run it two weeks earlier against Minnesota as the Eagles had a big lead and Foles told Doug to save it for The Super Bowl. Doug's trying to inflate himself with the story. In fact, if Carson Wentz had never gotten hurt and Nick Foles did not play that day, The Eagles would not have won that Super Bowl versus the Patriots.

  7. To all the haters, Nick Foles SUGGESTED the play. It doesn't matter what the quarterback says in the Superbowl against the Patriots. It's the HC's call. Plenty of HC's would say no to that suggestion, and Doug Pederson was well aware that if the play DIDN'T work, he would take most of the heat just like he's taking most of the credit here.

  8. Doug called the Perfect game that day. And not only did the Birds win the Superbowl, they did it against the Patriots. And not on a day when Brady was having a bad game, but a game where Brady was dealing. They earned that Chip and no one can ever take that away from them. Go Birds 🦅
