i kinda agree defense is the one thing the leafs lack certainty on. adding 1 option can be the deference in say pk efficacy. come playoffs that can be a huge boon to a contender. keep the back guys rested better too and that can lead to less injuries.
I`m not buying what Steve is trying to sell, every team plays back to back, the Leaf had a lot of rest threw the season, most times they played 3 games less then most team, now they have to play catch up. It`s not like the Canadiens that played Boston and went to over time, then got on a plane to fly all the way to Vancouver to play a game, now that`s a killer.
Sens also travelled on a back to back!! Beat NJ in NJ and Edmonton at home!

Only real thing to be frustrated over is how agonizingly close they came to scoring multiple times. Otherwise this was a hard fought and close game under strenuous circumstances. Woll looked fantastic and that's what I'll mainly take away from this game.
I know it's a tight season but there should NEVER be a team that has to play two games in less than 24 hours. Happened to the Avs earlier this season when they played Aneheim and then LA back to back.
The refs definately saw all the mapleafs penalties didnt they very lopsided.
