From a Sabres fan. Both Pens and Sabres are struggling for a similar reason. Albeit one team is too old, the other is too young. The game is too fast for the Sabres to slow down and play within themselves. The Penns age is catching up with them and they can’t keep up. Too young and too old.
Gotta feel bad for the players. There is much skill on this team and full effort. It isnt their fault the team makeup is whack…as in their D is horrible. You cant blame the goaltenders for that any more…They are on their own out there. Thanks Dubus for giving us a really bad roster.
Put Sid in a nationally televised game against his BFF, and he feels like playing again. Just trade hm to the Lanche like I said two years ago. Top prospect Calum Ritchie, a first-rounder and a third-rounder would be enough. #JustDoIt
The problem with trying to rebuild on the fly and stay in the hunt is the expectations stay high, but the talent drops in favor of development. So, you will keep getting this hang dog look for every loss from the team when they should be reacting like Montreal, where they know they are in development mode and every small victory can be huge and there is hope. Problem is, hope for the Pens starts when they accept reality, and Dubas and Fenway say they won’t. Just prolonging the rebuild and the pain.
Great older players don't pass the torch to a younger generation. The younger generation has to take it out of their hands.
This game couldn't have been scripted as a more apt metaphor for the end of the Crosby ere. To have a game game where Crosby has a goal and three assists in the first 30 mins of the game, only to have MacKinnon and company come storming back from a 4 goal deficit to tie it then win on OT is almost poetic.
Nothing but respect for Sid. I hope he's able to hoist the cup once more before he's done. (Wearing an Avs sweater)

Just want to say thanks for ur insights and hard work this season. I know it must be hard going through this with the team. Appreciate it Dan.
Just securing a better draft pick… kind of disappointed we got the point.
Thanks for covering this disaster of a team. Gotta be tough to follow them around!
Ray Shero, Craig Patrick lol

@7:15 Sid to Salt Lake City!? SLC sucks. The beer is all 3% and the shots are exactly 2oz. Skiing and mountain biking good, though.

More the Avs being a great team than the Penguins collapsing.

Pens did get 3 out of 4 points from the Avs this year but this was a killer.
Bourque left Boston..Crosby will leave Pittsburgh. Why would he stay for a rebuild. Wont happen. He is good friends with Marchand so look for that.

After this game. Sullivan should be fired. Dubas is unqualified as general manager.
