I truly miss Hyman and his work ethic, but it makes me so happy to see him thriving and being such a staple in the oilers fanbase now. He's a much better player under the oilers, not that he was bad for us. Just seems he found his touch there

This was a big miss by Dubas.
At the time, he wanted a 5 year deal, he was already 30 and had a lot of knee injuries. He has been good with the Oilers but no one can predict how the whole contract will go. Especially with the past injuries that he has had.
The Leafs were stupid to get rid of Hyman and should trade Nylander to Edmonton, for Hyman he is twice the player that Nylander is and this year shows it!!!

I’m not a great Dubas fan but with the contracts for Matthews and Nylander upcoming, big money for Hyman was not really in the cards.
