They are going to miss the playoffs, and Kane (their best player by most analytics) is going to leave. And you all are going to be stuck w the worst coach in the league. 31 other coaches would use Kane Cat Larkin and make the playoffs.
Veleno isn't doing enough as the 4th line center so they keep Czarnik to help him, but that leaves no room for Sprong and definitely no room for Berggren. Stupid problem to have, and Berggren is paying the price for Yzerman signing so many forwards. Didn't Steve say they weren't going to just sit him for the purpose of keeping him waiver eligible? Sure seems like they didn't want to burn that 80th NHL game despite this team's offense being a constant Jekyll and Hyde game. They've switched out the wingers on the 2nd line all year, when it seems clear the me that Berggren, if they let him keep growing, could probably play on the 2nd line.
