Nathan MacKinnon is making NHL history

Tonight in the battle of Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia we got Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins against Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche as they came head to head in what was a thrilling game! Crosby had a 4 point game while MacKinnon had himself 3 point game. However, he also made NHL history. It is now Wayne Gretzky and Nathan MacKinnon. The only two players in NHL history to not only have 2 separate 18 game point streaks in one season, but also the only 2 players to ever score a point in 34 consecutive home games. MacKinnon has the chance to break the all time streak of 40 games set by Gretzky. Not only that, but MacKinnon officially set the Colorado Avalanche franchise record for most points scored in a regular season as well! I cover it all and more in todays NHL hockey video!

  1. One of my favorites since he entered the league his pack handling speee is insane
Almost reminds me of a young ov

  2. Matthews closing in on 70 goals, McDavid almost at 100 apples, MacKinnon hasnt missed at home and somehow Kucherov is still in the points lead. This has been an incredibly awesome season

  3. So Drouin just needed a Stanley Cup winning team with several future Hall of Famers to unlock his scoring…..🤣🤣🤣🤣…..What a bum.

  4. Yeah, when Mackinnon gets those crazy eyes it's over. Don't get in his way.

Feel terrible for Crosby though. He is doing everything he can to keep his team afloat and it just isn't enough.

  5. I must say as a habs fan it’s nice to see Drouin doing really good. Here’s hoping he can keep up the pace come playoffs. Also Lehkonen has always been one of my favourite players. Has a great work ethic

  6. Ok so for the first Pens goal yeah Crosby contributed, but it really started with Puljujärvi driving the puck to the zone and then collecting his own rebound to keep the puck with the Pens.

  7. MacK I think has an edge over McDavid and Kucherov for mvp because both of those players have won it before. I know that shouldn't have a bearing, but I bet you anything it does. So as long as he doesn't just dry up in the next 11 games, i think he has the best chance to get it. Not guaranteed of course… but I do think it gives him an edge.

  8. MacKinnon has had the Hart trophy locked up for the last month imo. Kucherov has been phenomenal, carried that Tampa team, and any other year I'd say it was his to win…. McDavid has had an excellent 2nd half tear… but MacKinnon has been consistent this season on a level that we haven't seen since the man whose record he is seeking to break… Wayne Gretzky.

Plus, the NHL trend right now is to give it to guys who haven't earned it before so that means MacKinnon is next up…
