  1. Right on commentary. Eller has been a bright spot in this horrible season. They need to stop talking about Sidney going anywhere. If it were a situation like Borque where he hadn't won one, then yes, I'd be all for it. He's achieved more than 99.9% of any hockey player that has ever played the game and he is a legend in this town. His legacy needs to be with just one city.

  2. It feels like half of a season DK is talking about an average level bottom six forward who is slow and mostly good at commenting defeats

  3. Lars Eller has been a very good solid addition both on and off the ice. His 14 goals have definitely surpassed more than I thought he would score, but what I have appreciated the most about Eller is his leadership he has provided. What I like the most about Eller, he’s a straight shooter, he doesn’t sugarcoat things and he clearly calls out the team when they don’t play well and doesn’t take the half glass full approach.

  4. Wow – you know the season is bad when the morning commentary makes two citations of "The Gambia" – at least we are not yet at "Guinea-Bissau" status – although this season is getting there fast – we should have known this year would reach a new low whenever a shipment of 18,000 bobbleheads being stolen helped us forget the moment Letang and Malkin – members of the leadership council – threw the puck into their own net.

  5. Comparing Bourque's scenario to what Crosby is in now, is not even a comparison. Ray Bourque had never won a Stanley Cup, prior to leaving The Bruins, and The Bruins were going through a rebuild at that time and knew, they were nowhere near a cup contender.

Sidney Crosby has 3 Stanley Cups to his name, and it would be nice to win another, but it's not going to do anything to his legacy. Sidney Crosby has already cemented his legacy as one of the greatest players this game has ever seen. He's a first ballot hall of famer, regardless if he wins another cup or not.
