  1. I gotta be real. I'm not a fan of this move. Though Wennberg isn't the highest scorer of goals on the team there's no doubt he's incredibly consistent in other stuff like the PK, and Power Play. I would have been happier seeing others go like Schultz too be honest. He's not like he was in Washington or Pittsburgh. He doesn't score like he should on the PP in particular. He just doesn't shoot so he's no threat. And his defense isn't very consistent in my eyes either. But it's not my decision. I really REALLY REALLY hope the Eberle rumors are just that Rumors. If he gets traded that's really gonna suck. He's a key leader for the whole team including the youngsters line Beniers and Kartye. Hopefully incoming Wright, and Firkus will be in his mentorship as well

  2. On the one hand, instead of loosing him for nothing we get two picks for a player that is defensively sound but not a scorer but its more then we got for Spronger. And on the other hand, two picks are magic beans.. you don't have anything yet. And it is not a given that you get a return with a second and fourth round pick.

Maybe we can flip it later in the trade window?

  3. After sleeping on it, that move makes the most sense. Ron is setting up nicely for the long game. He's all about player development. This team will really start reaping the benefits 2-3 years from now.

  4. I believe you are spot on with your comments. To me Wennburg over Ebs was a good choice. New blood is always good since we are not going to make the playoffs.

  5. You know I got to looking at the upcoming Free Agents. I TRULY hope that Ron Francis isn't looking to 4-5 years into the future. We have a good team now just a couple missing parts. Perhaps a truly elite playmaker like a Patrick Kane would be a AMAZING pickup provided he doesn't retire after this year. If someone like that came to you this team that would be incredibly perfect. Maybe getting another elite player like a TJ Oshie. Someone that's a veteran leader that will be a teacher of teachers for the likes of Beniers and Kartye. I know we got Eberle, Gourde and Tanev. Besides McCann there's really not a Truly dynamic player that's I wanna say cheap but I think Cap Friendly is better. We CANNOT lose Beniers though that absolutely cannot happen

  6. Ok so I‘m quite new to hockey and have a few questions cause this trade stuff confuses me lol. Does that mean the Kraken get the Rangers 2nd round pick or what else does it mean? And if they get the Rangers pick, doesn‘t that mean that the Rangers can deliberately pick someone „bad“ as their 2nd round pick knowing that they aren‘t gonna keep him anyway?
