  1. As an American, I wish the rest of the skating was as good as his jumps. His jumps were beautiful the spins were mediocre, and everything else was non-existent. The best jumper in the world won but he is not the best skater. Not by a longshot. Jason Brown is the best skater in the world literally gets no coverage.

  2. OMG INCREDIBLE SKATE!!! I hadn't been following the men as close it I am thrilled I witnessed this performance. World record indeed!

  3. I was there last night. People were up on their feet even before he finished. We all knew this was exceptional skating !

  4. I watched it at least 5 times already, and I still have no words! This is simply unbelievable! I had this face😮😮😮

  5. I have never seen anything like him before! That was so thrilling to watch. An incredible athlete and he is still so young!

  6. I was very happy that I could see this historical moment live, go Ilia. The atmostphere was so great , will never forget this performance

  7. Certainly an EXTREMELY gifted jumper but will be totally unbeatable when he improves his artistic elements. CONGRATS!!!!

  8. CBC please find commentators that we can actually understand in the future. How someone with such a thick accent (I don’t even recognize where from, that’s how weird it sounds) be a paid commentator?

  9. Any world figure skating championships without the Russians is NOT the world! And to add to the irony of this great skater's achievements–both of his parents are Russian and he is a full-blooded Russian…..so good for him representing Russia under the USA flag!

  10. Fantastic!!! Brilliant!!! МОЛОДЕЦ!!! Огромные поздравления МАМЕ, ПАПЕ,ВСЕЙ КОМАНДЕ!!! НЕВЕРОЯТНО!!!

  11. Amazing, so talented, so beautiful. He reminds me of Plushenko, so fluid. He skated like Russian even though he’s American.

  12. To see a skater put the quads together with artistry is what I’ve been waiting for and what a delivery! Just AMAZING!

  13. His skating is woman’s skating. All moving is woman’s moving. Men don’t skate like that. Put on him a dress.

  14. Russians are best!!!if he was performing for Russia doping will be found in his test. US is garbage.

  15. I've been out of viewing figure skating for 15 years or so.
This many quad combos is bonkers to me. He's got amazing form and height.
What's been left behind is what happens between those amazing jumps.

  16. Simply wow!!!! I have been watching male figure skaters since I was a little girl, and he is truly one of the most talented I’ve ever watched, he is definitely going all the way, bravo️️️️
