Leafs are simply a weak team. Expecting them get anywhere in the post season is a pure naivety!

Willy had it going those first two periods, just felt like McMann and Tavares didn’t notice. When Willy’s playing like he was you’ve gotta just give him the puck. Too many times he’d be wide open but the other two just force it on net or the play just dies on their stick and it heads the other way. Could be way off here but I’d rather you force it to Willy and see what happens
I’ve noticed Woll looking more stressed than usual. The team has been letting him down defensively and I think he’s in danger of starting to blame himself for losses.

This won't be popular but, I'm hoping the Leafs don't make the playoffs. That way they get a better pick this year. Let's face it, they won't go past the first round. It's obvious Woll after the ankle injury has degressed. Sammy isn't good enough to steal any games in the playoffs. Marner is going to ask way too much for this team to pay so they'll need some one half decent in a couple of years at a low cost.

Adding more teams to the playoffs would definitely not devalue the regular season as a matter of fact. Like in the SHL 12 out of the 14 teams goes to some form of playoffs, and their regular season standings are far more important than the NHL ones are. It's purely the NHL playoff system that makes the regular season matter so little for most teams in the league, not because of the number of teams that makes the playoffs.

I feel bad for Woll on that game. Basically the leafs were playing shinny. I don't care how many shots they had, that was a shinny game. They thought they were gonna walk all over the Devil's.
Only a miracle will get this team past round one of the playoffs as per usuall not good enough.
