Flames lose to the Blackhawks 3-1
It seems like they just don’t have anything left, maybe they are finally feeling the effects of all of the moves and roster shuffling that’s been happening all season

This is the first of our recent losses to Chicago (these past 2 seasons) that deep down I am very accepting of, lol.
These guys are cooked rn. I think we’re feeling the effects of losing our foundation on D and how that makes it way harder to provide offense.
Let’s get more Wolf and Coronato ice time, trade Mang at the draft, draft top 10, and forget this part of the season
If the Flames could fix their performance against bad teams they would likely be a playoff team. I am not saying that should be their goal at the moment, but their poor start yesterday cost them the game.
In my opinion, for a quick rebuild to work they need to figure out what is going wrong in games like this. In 2 or 3 seasons they will need to be consistently winning games against bottom teams, and not showing up 20 minutes late.
I think this team lacks some leadership.
I don’t really care what happens for the rest of these games so long as they show up for the game against the Oilers.
Now is the time to play the kids and see what we’ve got. Even though they want to win every game, deep down they know they don’t have the ammo to do it. It will suck for the next 3 years till all those draft picks get ready. Hopefully, we don’t mess up our re-tool/rebuild like last time, when we had Monahan, Gaudreau, Bennett, and Tkachuck. That core could’ve let us have a decade of playoff cup contention, but shitty things happen. E.g. Coaching, bad weather, taxes, grass is greener in the US, bad contracts, etc. Now we gotta learn from those mistakes, and make sure we don’t repeat.
Tank hard for Celebrini just doesn’t hit the same as Bedard 😕
