  1. I wonder if playing on bad ice can be spun as a good thing if it means making you a better passer? The secret to Henrik's saucer success is bad ice, just figured it out.

  2. It would be awesome to sign Tanev in the offseason and bring him home to retire as a Canuck. Until this season, the bad ice wasn't as much of an issue because of how bad the team has been for years. I remember there being some bad ice during some of the West Coast Express years too, when they decided to turn the rink temperature down to improve ice quality, but then turned the heat back up because the general public whined that it was too cold at an ice rink.

  3. Offer Tanev $3 million, 5 years sunset contract. Worst case scenario, at year 4/5… he'll be a safe bottom-pairing defenseman to help ease a prospect into the NHL.

  4. Remember we dont have Joshua and demko. When we do, theres the notch weve been looking for.

  5. Watching Filip Forsberg @ 8.5 mil seems like the steal of the century compared 11.6 petey

  6. Tanev is very mid. Why would we sign a guy that has played his first full season at 35? Tanev is hurt all the time and we have enough cap problems. Find another story.

  7. Ooooo Drancer. You are usually very astute imo. More intelligent to resign the players that gave us the boost this year. Tanman will have to go elsewhere.

  8. No no and no. He was too comfortable here and far too injury prone. Did he ever make an entire season? With the Canucks or in his career? If your going after a puck absorbing d-man get someone younger and cheaper.
