The San Jose Sharks hung tough against the Dallas Stars, but ran out of gas in a 6-3 loss at the Shark Tank. Goals from Eklund, Barabanov, and Kostin wouldn’t be enough offense as Dallas’ Jason Robertson and Wyatt Johnston each had a pair of goals.

GM Mike Grier above all must recognize that Sharks are losing fans so he must look in the mirror and find a way to gain new fans with his experiments in re-building an NHL team while learning on the job. He should hire a topgun scout like Joe McDonnell, the architect of Detroit and Dallas successes at draft. At some point, Grier should also answer to media scrum on how he has managed this season. Grier has traded away fan favorites like Burns, Meier, Karlsson and Hertl and lost Logan Couture to long term injuries. Hockey podcasters have to remain calm AND PHILOSOPHICAL, it makes little sense to get angry when the NHL has become ultracompetitive and Sharks GM is slow to improve team. Some fans will be driven to drink too much and despair over the loss of all star players in 2 years since July 2022. Player development takes about 5 years so there is no need to puke, panic or pout like a child on steroids. It will be a long time before Sharks fans see any playoff hockey.
