    Can the 2011 team come in and explain how to do a proper powerplay, I think a quick 1 hour seminar would actually help.

    Soucy is so good at playing on that line. Cross-check Johnston a few times for hacking at DeSmith and then hug him out so the refs don’t see him going completely ballistic.

    We’ve gotta start putting some W’s up against these kinds of teams I feel like despite our place in the standings we lose most ‘playoff’ type matchups this last half of the season

    I miss demko, so many scrambly plays and goals in the last while because desmith doesn’t track the puck well enough to smother the play. He’s still been good but I really think Demko would make a tangable difference right now.

    DeSmith has been a fucking beauty this season. We just need to give him some run support for fuck’s sake.

    20 for 27 on the faceoffs so far tonight. Sick numbers that need more than immediate possession to show for in the post season.

    I get Tocchet’s belief is defensive and quality shots, but we need to send more bodies to the net, throw more pucks there. Playoff hockey is gonna be ugly and that’s how we’ll get goals. Not endlessly setting up plays that don’t get a proper shot

    Outside of the goal which I credit mostly to Garland, Miller has not been great tonight he killed like 4 different possessions on the powerplay & Petey is definitely not having a good night either. On the + side the stars top guys aren’t exactly dominating the play as well it’s just a very even game depth wise

    This PP will be the reason we get bounced in the first round. That just won’t fly in the playoffs where you absolutely have to capitalize on the fewer PP opportunities.
