The concept is to choose a draft year and from that year, trying to assemble the best roster with the best players from that year.
Today, the year is 2003
Some draft year are especially good, so for this class, I’ve decided to make 2 teams.
*The best players are in the 1st team and the players that didn’t made the cut, are in the 2nd team, which in my opinion is still a pretty good team
Feel free to give your opinion on that roster!

Legendary draft class. I’d put Getzlaf ahead of Staal on the depth chart though
It’s aight
Seabrook shouldn’t be the 7th D lol
The Andrei Kostitsyn slander smh
Imagine playing against that 4th line. Damn.
Eriksson the 5th best center, goddamnit this draft is insane.
If I’m not mistaken, hasn’t everyone in the 1st team lineup also represented their country internationally? Maaaaybe except Dustin brown?
This draft was absolutely nuts lol
Wait…….you mean Paul Bissonnette didn’t make the cut?
I’m utterly flabbergasted
Mike Brodeur, Sens legend !!
Jesus team one would be a nightmare to play against. Crazy skill and grit throughout.
Imagine telling people after his rookie year that Phaneuf wouldn’t even be a top 5 Dman from his own draft class
10 of the guys on the first team have worn a “C” at some point in their career
Decent Draft class
One of the best draft classes of all time
That is a lot of beef up and down that lineup
Richards-Kesler-Brown would not be fun to play against.
No way Getzlaf and Perry get split up. Pavelski up with the first line, Perry on two with Getzy as hit C
Wow… this might be the best draft team of all of these lately.
2003 draft was bonkers, that is an insane lineup.
I’ve been waiting for this draft class since you started posting these. This is widely considered to be the great single drafts of all time. I mean look at this roster!!
Ryan Getzlaf as third line center? Maybe I appreciate his game more because the fucker was in our division for decades. Big boy, one of the best at threading the needle on passes ever, played with a mean streak, soft hands, proven leader. He’s got to be second line.
2010s Sens were the B team
Man imagine prime Weber and Suter playing together. That’d be nuts
21 years later and six of these guys are still playing (Parise, Perry, Pavelski, Carter, Suter and Fleury).
That fourth line would be absolutely terrifying in the late aughts.
I always wonder did the lockout in 2004-05 help this class developmentally? Or was this just an astonishingly talented year
kesler should be a center, he’s your 2nd best faceoff guy after bergeron
Brent Seabrook plays on that 1st team over Entstrom you are underestimating his prime
Most of those right wingers (1st class) still play
I’m just glad Kevin Klein got some recognition here. Dude was solid.
I think Carter should move down a line just so I can relive the glory days of 2012-2014
Basically a whole lineup of Hall of Very Good + Bergeron. Crazy good draft class
Pavelski not at at least #2 center is terrible. Eric staal?
This team is crazy good wow
Damn
Getzlaf should be centering the second line
Right side defense for days
vlassic should make the second team
2015 class would smoke them
Where team should Hugh Jessiman be on….
No all Ducks line with Getlaf, Kesler and Scorey Perry?
I miss when their old squad, they were fun to watch. They never had enough finesse to make it past the first or second round most of those years though
How many future Hall of Famers do you think are on this team?
