We’re digging at the bottom of the barrel for this topic, but let’s go over a Fansided article with a few Patrick Kane trade ideas from a while ago.

In this video, we’re highlighting the idea of the Chicago Blackhawks trading Kane to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for what would be Shayne Gostisbehere, Travis Konecny, and a 2021 1st Round Pick.

It’s a pretty whack idea overall, but let’s talk about it anyway.

  1. Trade captain seriously overrated
    Hawks biggest mistake
    Was trading the bread man
And bringing back saad to help toews

  2. Why would we trade konecny for an aging Kane? Like yeah, Kane is still very good, but he has a massive cap hit and is getting old

  3. If you look at how many goals Konecny was projected to score last season you'd quickly realize that He's NOT GOING ANYWHERE. Especially considering his Cap hit and age. Konecny isn't going anywhere. Period. Never gonna happen. Maybe for Laine… Maybe. But I still would say no looking at his Cap hit at the moment especially.

  4. Konecny And prospects n picks for 32 or 33 yr. Old Kane? I know its offseason but c'mon guys.
P.S. I'm a die hard Flyers fan and I believe if the Flyers were willing to trade Konecny and the next couple years 1st round picks then Laine would already be getting ready for A.V.'s camp in Philly. Just saying.

  5. No chance do we trade TK. Guy had his best year and will only get better. Kane while good is getting old and cost a hell more

  6. Flyers are very deep in scoring and going to get deeper w/ Frost, O'Brien, and a couple others in the next year or 2. Flyers desperately need veteran defensemen. Their D has talent but, is still very young. I like the skill & Cup experience Kane would bring but, Flyers have a ton of decisions to make. Giroux, Couturier, Laughton are all UFAs. Presumably, a Kane trade only makes sense if he's playing w/ G. Couts is going to get a big long-term raise from someone. JVR will probably get picked up in expansion. Voracek contract puts this team in a stranglehold. Too many other young players will get significant raises soon as well, Farabee, etc. And with how poorly the defense is playing this year, this is not a deadline move. Offseason would be the time. Don't see it happening, Flyers have way too many issues, D most importantly.
