  1. If earbel had of said it it would be more to get excited about i know what u mean dunk . Earbel doing an interview for sky Germany tonight

  2. Things each club has to offer to Xabi after he wins the Bundesliga:

    Positives for each club:

    Leverkusen: gratitude, adoration, continued friendship
Liverpool: gratitude, adoration, continued friendship, a shit-ton of money, a project to build something bigger on an altogether different global scale, very top quality squad
Bayern Munich: a shit-ton of money

I don't see Bayern Munich seducing Xabi on the positives alone,

Bayern Munich negatives: Why would he want to go to a club that dismisses managers after just one season? It makes no sense. And working for a club with the institutional shape that Bayern Munich has its difficulties.
Liverpool negatives: has only one big, major negative, which until now seemed unsalvageable: FSG. In the past there was no way anything could get around FSG. But now with Michael Edwards CEO of football, maybe things will be different.

Leverkusen: Fewer negatives, smaller club, they will probably just do almost anything Xabi wants if he wins them the Bundesliga. But less money, not the same squad Xabi could get at Liverpool, no global appeal whatsoever.
Bayern Munich has very few of the positives, and almost the same negatives as Liverpool.
Liverpool has the most positives, and is promising to get its negatives corrected with Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes.

It really comes down to how strong Xabi feels he is a manager after he wins the Bundesliga, and whether he's ready to deal with all the insufferable bullshit of the hideous English press, and all the insufferable bullshit of the Americans.

It comes down to FSG showing that they have got their shit together for once. If they don't, Xabi stays at Leverkusen.

  3. So, Uli's coming out publicly and saying it's very difficult to sign Xabi. I'm feeling there's going to be an element of embarrassment to either LFC or Bayern to whomever loses out on signing him. I mean if he signs for Bayern over us it'll hurt right? Could Uli's comments be the start of damage limitation? One can only hope it is……..
