What are your thoughts on Horvat’s captaincy so far?
Hey brother , stick to your motto positive and uplifting . I like this . There is enough negative Canucks media . The lord says find the good in all . Not the bad . You are my favorite Vancouver media person now . I was born and raised BC boy but never understood all that is critical in Vancouver. Not just with the Canucks but other stuff . Keep up your great work . It will inspire other

No Horvat don't have what it's take to be Cap of Canucks.He is soft,seldom motivate or inspire team ,avoid as much as he do when teamates got rough up.To me,he's not the one will lead Canucks to become elite again.

As long as Horvar is your so-called leader this team will never win. Bo plays for himself where real leaders play for their team. When a teammate is gettimg roughed up the Captain is there. Bo always pretends like he doesnt see it when we all do and its selfish. Hes no Iginla in the day or Jumbo Joe or Getzlaf etc. These type of captains are team first Bo is Bo first. Overrated player…any other market hes average 2nd liner at best.
Again like you mentioned,each can have different opinion on Horvat.shouting screaming yelling….. is not a necessity to help the team but sometimes especially being a Cap,need to get the team going .He never do that and often drive on his own.
With Garland leading the Coyotes in assists this season im sure horvats points will be high this coming season, unless pearson has something to say about that….

I agree bo horvat does not have what a captain should have, grit, determination, consistency, he should not be captain of this team.
bo was chosen to be the captain before Dan and hank left, he has a natural ability to lead the game and drive the team.
Bo Horvat is a captain material,He will explode soon,His Team now. He's the Already 8 seasons in the NHL .

Horvat is the perfect captain. I'm very happy we have him as that. I too was impressed with his work on BLM. That's not easy material — people can be reactive — but he did the right thing. I was super proud of him, and also happily surprised by the NHL's stance overall.
Bo has all the qualities a Captain is supposed to have and then some. The respect from team and most fans. Has a great story I heard his skating might be an issue and worked his butt off and got better. I have seen it get better all the time . Great two way player. Good size. He has the right temperament also.

I'm a bit bewildered by the negativity towards Horvat. Not sure if he's just an easy target from fans who are venting their frustrations because he wears the C. Horvat is the captain, for better or for worse. I think he showed his determination in the playoffs in 2019-20, and under his leadership, the Canucks will emerge from this rebuild as a strong contender. Thanks Clay!
