Yzerman needs to answer for this as well. He never says ANYTHING in his press conferences, unlike Holmes who tells you what he thinks. He knows that Illitch will NEVER fire him. But this is EMBARRASSING.
I'm convinced Yzernans checked out the season, like Newsy said, they had 0 expectaitons to make the post and the only reason are prospects are still in GR is to help out Cossas development and make a push in the AHL playoffs, cause honestly I cant think of any other reason then that, cause Ed, Johansson and Burger defiantly out grew the AHL and Kasper and Solderblom have been getting better and better, so I imagine there not to far behind either
yzerman had #1 pick stamkos and many high picks on a tampa team that won in the season he left. i cannot give credit to that and expect that he would work some kind of magic in Detroit who loses out on the best picks….. just because of what his last name is.
