If you can believe it, there was a time early in the NHL season when people were doubting Connor McDavid following a slow start, but the Oilers captain has enjoyed an unbelievable stretch of hockey that has seen him shoot up in the points leaderboard. Is this the most impressive stretch of McDavid’s career? TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button explains why ‘this is Connor McDavid’s hockey world and everyone else is just playing in it.’

100 assists is rare and nice, arbitrary number. Last i checked goals are still worth significantly more, and Mackinnon has been consistent all year. Button is the type to proclaim Mcdavid the greatest of all time before hes even won a cup lmao
27 goals is weak Craig
Art Ross and Hart. Conner pulled HIS TEAM out of a rut so deep it was sinking their Playoff hopes early. You cant make that kind of Leadership up the man scored 4 and 5 points per game until he dragged them back to the surface. Mcdavid with Draisaitl refused to let the ship go down, thats MATURITY. Mcdavid will own the Ross and Hart and even RR if he wants it until hes done his Prime in a few years.
This guy is ridiclious. No his best stretch was when he was playing a 200ft game. Art Ross is not important. The cup is.
He is back to his cherry picking ways. And they are inconsistent again.
And no. Kuch and Mac are having better seasons.
And how many cups has he won again? Must be easy for him if he's above the NHL.
64 goals is better
Only morons that have never played hockey have ever said a goal is worth more then an assist. That is how you know a person is clueless about hockey, someone that says something dumb like that.
Love the fact that McDavids greatness, really pisses some people offđ€Ł
Those people are obviously not true hockey fans.Because A true fan of the game would know what McDavid is doing hasnât even been done by more than 3 peopleâŠSoon to be 4âŠEvery aspect of his game is off the charts, every part of it,and itâs still getting betterđ±
2 months ago Craig was doubting Conner saying he has no chance to win !!! What a puppet Craig button is
Could not agree more!
Early in the season, he was injured and missed 2 games, the first 5 or 6 games after that, he really wasn't doing much, then he got going at his usual pace. I'm guessing he was still hurt those first 5 or 6 games after he returned, that's the only logical explanation.
