Jim Montgomery PRAISES Pavel Zacha | Bruins vs Leafs Postgame Interview

Form in many ways but I suppose the most encouraging is defensively yeah absolutely defensively you know we we were getting back above pucks we were winning goal line races to our own end and it led to a lot of transition a lot of oone time and not those odd man breakdowns

Correct the key to shutting down matth keeping those guys off you know they were still dangerous I mean good offensive hockey players and stars in a league like them they’re going to get their opportunities but I do think that we were on top of them and we giving him

Second and third opportunities Saka gave you a pretty good lift there to playing as well as he did the injury yeah it was great you know like I talked to him in the morning skate and he goes I think I’m going to be able to go and it was a

Big lift and obviously he had a great night what do you like about pass next game three assists seven shots I think as well uh just how creative he is and how he makes things happen for a team offensively you get that three three-oh lead after 40 and that’s been somewhat

Of a mindfield for you what you tell them after two um you know we talked about you know how Toronto likes put pucks to the net from behind the net or on the sides above the goal line and protect that and then let’s move north and hang on the Pucks

In the ozone Jim does getting a career year out of a Charlie Coy sort of helps soften the blow of losing a Patrice berson I mean he’s been you know stepped into that role and performed pretty admirably oh he’s done great for us I

Mean you know he logs a lot I us he probably averages 19 and a half minutes a night and really important minutes defense defensively and offensively for us he’s been great Z got h on the island was he a close call tonight he gets two

Goals but he was a close call to he was really close yeah we didn’t think he was going to play to be honest did your first penalty kill kind of give you guys energy a it did you know that our first penalty kill gave us

A lot of life and we scored right after it was that part of the consideration the other night withar giving Jeremy that full game off so that he could fresh full six for tonight as in swinging not pulling oh no no it was fourth goal went in the first he was coming up

Jim Montgomery commented on Pavel Zacha’s performance in tonight’s Boston Bruins win, saying, “It was great, talked to him at morning skate, looked like he’d be able to go – it was a big lift obviously, he had a great night.”

  1. Too little too late for zacha, should be trade bait/ guy has been absebt from score sheet all year it seems. Finally scores 2 when Sweeny says everyone is trade bait. Be a pro and play every game like its your last

  2. Great win but we all know whats coming next game/well we dont!? We dont know which Bruins team shows up!? One thats been .500 for last 3 plus months or the team that just gave 60 min and finally scored goals w top 6 players

  3. Definitely been a Jekyll & Hyde team here for too long. On the plus side, Pasta's Assist Hat-Trick & Sway's play between the pipes were the highlights for me on this win.

  4. Get rid of Montgomery if Bruins want to go far in the playoffs . But D A Sweeney wont do it , afraid of upsetting the sober man . P.S Bruins out in the first round with sobriety Jim .
