Horrific effort. This team is so lucky Sharks somehow wrecked the Blues. Not going anywhere in the playoffs playing like this

Seriously though, was that our worst effort of the year? Just an absolute non-effort against a team we should be able to handle.

What an absolute disaster. Embarrassing effort tonight, worst game I have seen since the one in Buffalo. First round exit here we come, this team doesn’t have it.
I didnt even watch the first two periods, but 9 shots through 40 minutes is a sad joke, no way to sugarcoat it.
This team might be cooked.. they cannot play from behind. Way too many soft perimeter players who refuse to take shots or get into better shooting positions. No puck moving ability from the backend except triple-shifting Doughty, our oldest Dman.. PLD with a big opportunity to show he can play 2C, task failed.
Well I was wrong on Thursday to say the Kings will get swept by Edmonton.
They’ll get swept by Dallas.
If this team falls apart when it loses one fucking player, we arent going anywhere.

Tonight just goes to show how much we needed Danault. Dug ourselves a hole early and forgot how to kill penalties and shoot the puck. Really sad effort tonight from the lads.

If the Blues win their remaining 8 games, they’ll finish with 98 pts. With 9 games left, kings need 6 wins to get to 99.
Fortunately the Blues have a tougher remaining schedule than the Kings.
Still doesn’t feel good considering we had the best win percentage in the west for like 36 hours in December.

Go support a different team if you want to be “i’m right, kings suck” after every loss. Jfc
This team is just spinning its wheels. Any gains with Hiller in goaltending and offense are being offset by the slowly degrading defensive structure and discipline. The end result is the team is probably in the same place regardless of who was behind the bench. Can’t see Hiller coming back unless this team miraculously pulls off a first round upset.
Wonder what it’s like to play spoiler…Can we have Clarke back??
Games like this make you question whether Hiller is the man for the job. Weird line experiments and a team that wasn’t even close to prepared and ready to play (or even shoot, apparently!).
If we can’t count on our PK anymore this season might as well be over tomorrow. It’s the only reason we’re even clinging to a playoff spot.
On this episode of kings fans blaming a single player (PLD) on the entire team looking atrocious!

Can we just relive the first 2 months of this season over and over and over again? We were straight up cup contenders. Now this team is a damn joke. IMO, that 4 game streak with wins against TB and VAN mean nothing at this point. These last two games have been straight up embarrassing.
PLD for 7 more years at 8.5
I really wish there was one player to blame (PLD) but in reality I frankly think the teams “identity” is the problem. In the past 15 years can you name one player that could truly take over offensively. Outside certain years of Toffoli and Fiala recently, but in the case of fiala he hasn’t been as good offensively as he was in Minnesota. Players also get better when they leave L.A. Sean walker was traded for a first. He was a whipping boy last year now he is worth a first, either we horribly mismanaged an asset or he got better outside the L.A system. This team is stuck in the early 2010s when the league has adapted. As much as I love that hard nosed defense first mentality I think it completely stifles offense. We get more shots than the other team 90% of the time but we can’t find a way to score. Frankly I don’t think these nhl players are just really bad at finishing I think that the focus on defense makes them worse offensive players. All this being said I don’t think Blake is the reason that the team plays in a way that is so archaic I think it’s the only two carry overs from the Lombardi area Kopitar and Doughty. But I can’t blame them they won two cups playing grinding defensive hockey. Don’t get me wrong Blake should be fired because he perpetuates this style by signing players that fit the awful 1-3-1 style we play. With all this being said I want to see what the young skilled players can really do I want them put in positions that compliment their skill sets let Turcotte skill it up give kaliyev a chance to be a shooter don’t force kevin Moore and Kempe to be defense players they have the skill to be 30-50 goal scorers or 100 point players. TLDR the team is stuck playing the game like it’s the early 2010s and offensive players come here to die on our team.
Pretty terrible game. Hard to expect much from this team in the playoffs, but you never know. Hopefully we can play a different team for once (if we don’t lose our spot).
Either way, at least we have our 1st round pick this year. Need to add something to our dwindling prospect pool.
