  1. Exactly, it’s an own goal. Why would a CO player get any credit? Any other situation and it wouldn’t even be debated 🙄

  2. Lindgren never had possession, Mikko hit his stick causing the puck to go into the net. If MacKinnon scores in every other home game this season he's beaten Gretzky and the NHL and Lindgren screwed him out of it.

  3. Not a point, its an own goal, never thought obvious own goals should count as an assist for anyone lol so stupid

  4. Tf is he arguing, did he really say maybe Lindgren was trying to fight & stickhandle? Nobody with any sense in hockey would attempt stckhandling in this scenario. Stop whining, it's clear as day Lindgren curled his blade to cup the puck away from the opponent & towards Igor to freeze.

  5. It could easily be argued that Rants stick shooting the puck pushed the defenders stick that direction as well. Difficult to determine intent when there are so many motions in play.

  6. This is the dumbest argument ever. It is CLEARLY an own goal. The amount of mental gymnastics to justify a desired result is incredible. This isn’t close.

  7. You are blind if you think this is anything else but an own goal. Shesterkin saved the shot. We're it not for Lindgren pushing the puck back to Shesterkin then there is no goal.

  8. No assists are given on own goals. That’s how it works. Nothing to talk about. Frankly Toews didn’t have much to do with this either, but the rules don’t allow the goal to be attributed to Lindgren.

  9. Mikko definitely hit the stick into the puck creating the goal, so I do not think it is an own goal. Win streak continues or not, if that is still the definition of own goal then…oh well, but it sucks.

  10. On the closes up, it looks like it was a battle for the puck that both play in front made stick contact causing it to actually to go in the net. When I seen the raw highlight last night, it seem that the defensemen had control of the puck.
In a different situation, I believe if there was a delay penalty that this call would of not been call back on a coaches challenge, cause here he clearly didn't have control of the puck.

  11. Lindgrens stick is lindgrens stick doesn't matter if the other players stick hit his that makes 000000 difference it hit shesty and the next object to touch it was lindgrens stick get over it bye bye streak
