2 takes: Florida needs to get healthy because their quality of play has been poor this month. Costly penalties have been back breakers for them and its driving me crazy. Is it too much to ask to play a hard, yet clean game? That said, Chris Rooney needs to sit out for a little bit. His reffing has been so poor lately and the numbers prove it. 12 Florida penalties against 2 NYI and Detroit penalties combined. Straight up unacceptable.

Rodrigues comes down on Petry, and he doesn't break stride. He just goes around him like he isn't there. There was another play where Petry is cutting a player off from going to the net anf instead of stopping and going back to the front of the net. Petry just goes for a skate around the net and leaves the slot unattended. Brutal to watch!

I was at the Detroit/Fl game and the officiating was terrible like in the Islanders game. Ref/linesman #5 Chris Rooney kept turning his head on penalties that should and clearly needed to be called. Consistency would be nice. Anyway game was eh and Ekblad had enough and in my opinion turned the game around in the third.
No matter what is said, it is still yet another loss. I am tired of hearing about the Yzerplan and prospects we don't see.

The last 2 games with this same ref (Rooney), the Panthers get the man advantage twice to the opponents twelve. One of those two being a delay of game. The NHL should be ashamed of themselves.
The Panthersā goal song is awful. I liked last year when they had individual goal songs for each player.

there were 2 takeaways from this game: 1. David Perron is still a scumbag 2. The referees who've officiated the last TWO Panthers games (it's been the same refs for both games) HATE the Panthers. SO MANY missed calls… ban these idiots from officiating another NHL game
