@Montreal Canadiens

It was a good run..

OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at the game last night between the Montreal Canadiens and the Carolina Hurricanes.. the Habs winning streak was snapped! The Canes won this game by a final score of 3-0, shutting them out, and putting an end to Juraj Slafkovsky’s point streak.

The articles that were in the video were screenshots from Habsfanatics.com, I highly reccommend you to check out this site for further Habs News,

  1. Damn youuuu Staal! Lol i live in Thunder Bay Ontario where all of the Staal brothers are from and grew up. Were a small hockey town near the border. All us farm boys always had hockey in our blood lol

  2. Another Slafkovsky birthday coincidence?
Slafkovsky was born on March 30th.
I was born on March 30th.
    Slafkovsky plays wing.
    I play wing.
    Slafkovsky shoots left.
    I shoot left.
My team just won our league championship.
    Slafkovsky will win a championship.
    Slafkovsky is 6'3"
I'm 63. Well, I was 63 until yesterday, so Slafkovsky has to grow another inch this year.

  3. If Montreal even gets a mediocre draft and makes some good movement i think next year will be an alright year. Maybe even be playoff contenders

  4. Looking forward to Lane Hutson being the PP 1st wave d-man. Matheson may have surprised quite a few with his near elite offensive output for a d-man, but he costs the habs as many goals as he contributes in the scoring department. A turnover machine.

  5. It’s too easy to put the blame on Matheson every time there is a problem at the blue line in powerplay, there is a cost to having only 1 defenseman in PP and there is an even greater cost when that only defenseman is basically our 3rd best forward.

Xhekaj could do a decent job on the first PP with Matheson, he has a boomer of a shot, but is too slow for when a fuck up happens, maybe Guhle or Struble ?

It’s time to change things up Montreal has the most amount of goals allowed in PP in the whole league and the PP itself is very lacking.

  6. This team has the 1st line and the defence all taken care of for he next 5+ years. With Dach next year and maybe some other additions we will be in the playoffs.

  7. Imagine if Hughes could have got Lafrenierre last year 😯…. It's ok I have all the faith in the world Gorton and Hughes will bring more top end offensive talent here in the very near future.

  8. The national anthem was really bad that night. It's also too bad that the only French version in the league also added a third language, but whatever, it's the night for it.

  9. Great job as always, Hockey Junkie!!"
FYI… Today I learned that these websites that claim they can translate English to Klingon are full of poop..!!

  10. I normally hate when people cry about refs but good lord I actually burst out laughing seeing that "hooking" call on Haris 😂

  11. Matheson doing more bad than good on that power play I'm starting to see why he got moved. If he has a bad game he's taking the whole team down.

  12. Thx for the vid. I wasn't upset in terms of the shutout and loved seeing that Slaf turnover that led to the 1st canes goal 🙂

  13. I love Slaf so much, I was hoping you’d add the clip of him launching himself into the net at the beginning of the first period. He wanted to continue his point streak so badly, he turned into a puck.

  14. I watched several times and I have to wonder WHY Slafkovsky skated all the way back to the point literally standing right in front of Matheson.IMO he threw Matheson off but I can only assume what Matheson was thinking it looks like he might have actually hit Slaf with the puck if he tried to just dump it back in and why he was trying to avoid Slaf who was in no mans land.Slaf literally took himself right out out of the play and if he wanted to back up Matheson by skating outside the blueline fine that would be good but he skates to Matheson and STOPS wtf.
I keep saying Slafkovsky doesn't know wtf he is doing but yeah he was gifted a few quality shots but he shot right at the goalie perhaps some creativity or carry the luck right in but he shot right at the goalie.
One thing I noticed was the Canes goalie was not committing to the knees like al the NHL goalies like to do so he held his ground and didn't give the shooters anything to shoot at.
Late game was some turnovers but the game was over the offense was invisible so obviously a few were taking chances like Arber did but it was the inept offense that killed the Habs.
Pretty sure they did not hit 30 shots in any of the 5 games I know they were under 20 in 3 of them.

  15. What fans SHOULD realize is that the ENTIRE league is competitive there are upsets all th etime so it is not liek the Habs are competitive and nobody else is.I watched some of the Dallas game and the young Seattle goalie played solid this is th ething ALL teams in the league have good young players Dallas Wyatt and Stankoven for example but fans seem to think hockey is a one team show so if the Habs have young players and some compete that means something?it is the same across the league the Hawks at th bottom with their young star Bedard doing well my point is that I THINK fans seem to think MTL is alone in this without realizing ALL the league is improving and constantly bringing in new young talent.
The habs are a VERY long way away from being a cup contender and without a true number 1 line that can hold the zone and cycle it guys like Matheson will constantly be under fire trying to do too much to help a sub par first line.

  16. If you're really coming to MTL next week.
Go visit a local greasy spoon in st-henri called A.A. make sure to go Thursday to Saturday.
And double check if the owner Andre or his assistant Martine is cooking your food.
Its on Notre Dame around Rose-de-Lima, across the street from a pharmacy called Jean-Coutu.
They only take cash only open from 4pm to 4am.

It's one of the last restaurants there that's been around for 40 yrs or more.
Let me know if you go and how it was.

    Metro lionel-groulx or place st-henri.

  17. Surprise you didn't show the clip of Slaf#20 crashing the Hurricanes net … the ref didn't even blow the play and just let it play out.

  18. Habs need to get rid off Caufield, dude never fucking passes and never plays for the team. Slaf open on the other side, dude rather dumps it into the goalie…Every single game

  19. I like Matheson playmaking skills, speed and skating. I don't like these fatal mistakes and (maybe) his trust issues with Slaf. If he would be 20-25y old I would say nothing, but he is 30 he should be at his decision making and reliability peak. I would give him 1 more season to see if he could get rid of these mistakes and turn himself to a vet and leader that will make a difference and be the role model for the kids.

  20. If Hutson makes only half the mistakes Matheson makes, he'll get scratched a game or two.

    Change my mind.

Can't wait for the kid to take Matheson's role. As much as I want to like the guy's offense, his disastrous defense always gets me riled up.

  21. Matheson is the most infuriating habs I have watched in several years. Mainly bc anybody from other fanbase would be like "What do you mean? Guy as star player numbers and a ton of individual skills". But thats about all he has, a fuckton of individual skills. Guy skates like the wind and has slick hands, but pair that with a peewee B level of hockey IQ and you get a guy who keeps turning the puck over like its a fcking pancake and who can't resist hammering the puck at the glass from the point, while on the pp, with both is wingers wide open in umbrella formation like their forecasting a downpour. If there's ever a streak of broken house windows in my town, id be more willing to blame Matheson than the local teens bc this guy as a vital need to shoot pucks at it every fckin time he sees glass.

  22. Lot's of dumb commentaters. Honestly if you never laced a pair of skates please shut the f up and enjoy what little you've learned from sitting on your ass!

  23. truth is for many of the fans a lot of the final games are not worth much. however to the players it obviously does. they are building one hell of a chemistry and no quit attitude that next year will prove infectious. remember we are still waiting for some major pieces to return from injury plus not all of our future pieces are not in place yet. i am already waiting on the draft and especially next years much improved team.

  24. Matheson is a real enigma. He must HATE Slafkovsky, it's bizarre how selectively blind he is at times. It's bizarre how he makes prime Erik Karlsson look like a sunday leaguer in one moment and the next he's looking like a sunday leaguer who wants to be Erik Karlsson

  25. I don’t hate Matheson but sometimes I wonder whether a different man on that line would make a difference
