It seems our strategy this year is to get a whole lot of sucking done all at once, and then to be just good enough to win a few.
It’s not pretty, but losing by 20 is basically the same as losing by 1.

I don’t understand how they can play so well some nights then look like god awful dog shit others. Lindgren got left out dry tonight. Bad turnovers, stupid penalties, no heart.

Whatever happens the rest of this season, the Caps need to make a concerted effort to get MUCH faster as a team. Tonight is only the latest instance of Carbery having to explain the Caps couldn’t keep up with Buffalo’s speed (and size). Just like with the Toronto beat downs.
Perhaps Ryan Leonard will be part of next season’s talent infusion (provided he does go pro of course)?
