  1. I’m gonna need PoMo to start singing me lullabies to sleep if they lose tomorrow.

The concern isn’t forwards, obviously new lines and injuries abound, it’s the insane turnovers the D are dishing out regularly. Can’t blame goaltending when we’re now letting in 5 GAA due to turnovers and breakaways. So strange this became a new problem at end of such a strong year defensively

Exactly. It’s all part of his evil genius master plan

  4. I’m hoping that the team is just conserving energy. They look slow and unmotivated, which is a complete departure from how they’ve been playing all season. So it’s either intentional to save all the gas they have for the playoffs….or they hit a wall due to their style of play and are completely out of gas already.

No. Not really. Pretty far from “just fine”

I’m not into the gloom and doom, but I admit, I’m having a hard time deciding whether Thursday’s game is worth my time, especially with a big one on Saturday afternoon. I’m counting on the games for entertainment, and like Goldie said last night, this is getting old.

PoMo’s “I know why they’re not doing well” is telling because there’s either a whacko bug going through the team, they’re experimenting, or there’s a sub-Rosa understanding that they aren’t going balls to the wall. The best case scenario is they turn on the faucet 2 or 3 games before the regular season end.

My biggest worry is twofold. Like we’ve seen, when players play not to get injured, they get injured. The second is that bad habits are creeping into their game, especially with the in zone coverage.

But I have faith that maybe with a Game 1 loss or two within the first four games, they’ll get it together for the playoffs. Round 1, TB or TOR just don’t have enough. Round 2 vs Boston will be tougher—maybe the toughest in the post season.
