  1. I watched the highlights today (I’m in Chicago so blacked out and listening last night) and this goal is an example of why someone like Horvat was so important for Barzal. In the past, you’d have guys roaming looking for space and while Barzy was double teamed his team mates were more likely to be crashing for support (Lee, etc.).

    During that whole play watching Horvat was amazing. He just kind of slow roamed into some open space and then waited. He KNEW that Barzy would find him, and so he waited.

    If Mrázek had kept his glove where it started he would have the puck in his glove, in bringing it down he left the space open for Bo to put it in the net.

    I’m imagining every night since the All-Star break:

    Barzy in a dimly lit garage, practicing saucer pass after saucer pass like a madman.

    * *Snap. Plunk.* *

    “Never again. Never again. I will be the king of saucers. King Saucer. Never again.”

    * *Snap. Plunk.* *
