Been worried about them since that loss in Boston to be honest
Nothing is wrong with EP40, he is a talented soft player. He doesnât bleed for the team like Miller does, which is why we shouldnât have signed him and should have let an offer sheet come in or trade him. Guaranteed Canucks will regret his contract in 2-3yrs
5 games and theyâre done in the playoffs, theyâll go down 3-0, win the 4th then get blown out in the 5th.
Getting 3.6 mil. more than Miller is insane, really. Hope Petey gets his head together and shows up for the last few games in the regular season and the playoffs proving his worth!
I have a question…. Is Elias Petterson a Rick Tocchet type of player ?
Tocchet changed his coaching tactics during the All Star break. He is juggling his line combinations, they don't attack anymore and they are playing not to lose rather to win.
I agree with Sekeres about pulling DeSmith and playing him tonight. These are must win games if they plan on holding on to 1st.
Tocchs wants a bunch of western Canada boys.
Should have waited before giving him his contract
I wonder how heavily EP40's new contract hangs on him; his need to justify the new pay cheque in addition to trying to make a deep run. Maybe he knew that would get in his head and so that's why he (genuinely) wanted to postpone his contract talks.
The contract changed their chemistry.
We are still first in the pacific. Lindholm and Demko are out. This is the best hockey weâve seen in a decade just enjoy it and get excited for playoffs. And if they lose it doesnât matter we still had a great season.
nothing wrong, got his big contract so nothing left to play for. don't get me wrong, loads of talent, but he's never struck me as a heart player

We should have added someone at thr trade deadline. A high energy type 2 to 3 million
It's real simple, the Dakota effect. Put Joshua Blueger, and Garland back together like before Dakota broke his knuckles on that dude's helmet in an effort to stand up for his pal Garly. That chemistry was and is something special, and i don't have an explanations why Toch is trying to reinvent the wheel. That chemistry is so special that it effects the whole team. Oh ya as i stated in the preseason; The Canucks would make the playoffs easily, Petey would get his winning team and would sign a contract for way too much money and the team would start losing again. The only thing that i didn't get right so far was the timing of Petey's contract. I expected that to get done in the offseason. That just destroyed this season as subconsciously the rest of the team knows they are not getting paid cuz Petey did and so they know they ain't getting paid by this team and subconsciously their play crumbles into oblivion. Management fucked up on the timing of the deal destroying this years great season. This has led to Toch going off the deep end trying to get them to defend and he has obviously gone full Keenan "you better cry boy", and now has lost them. The only thing left is watch this team implode, have Edmonton pass them in the standing which means they have to play Vegas and will go out in four straight. Oh ya Petey has mild groin and wrist issues, and that is why he don't skate and don't shoot. They should have sat him out until the playoffs so they had a chance at the first round, now they don't. Sad ending to the season. Guess i got to stock up on beer so i have something to cry into while i watch the implosion continue.
He puts up points in bunches, how many times has he had a 5 point night? the problem is that its usually weaker teams non playoff teams. He plays for money like fiala while miller plays with heart like linden. the 11.6 will haunt this team for years to come. 82 points will be his average then will drop off after a few years.
All the teams in the pacific division look tired except for the Canucks.. All Canuck fans must now be positive. You guys are killing those of us who see beyond your negativity.
I feel like this is a team that blew their wad early. The style of game Tocchet has them playing is gruelling and they were trying too hard early in the year to get off to a good start and impress the new coach, but now they are burnt out and can't keep pace with the teams that still have lots in the tank. Energy conservation is one of those things that teams need to learn.
Petey did not want to sign during the season, but media and management forced him to sign. Now the contract is in his head…. You got what you wanted!
Canucks should have traded Pettersson when they had the chance. Lindholm too
The team changed after the AllStar smoke was blown up all their butts.
I dont care if they lose in the 1st round, but if they look like a bunch of lost zombies out there like last night, I'll care.
Traded the wrong player. Should have kept Horvat and traded Petey. Horvat under the tutelage of Tocchet could have returned more value than Petey.
