  1. Not the first time this has been seen from Laviolette-coached teams, he's just got a higher number of idiots at his disposal now. Hockey the way the stereotypical american fan-moron thinks it should be. It. Is. Pathetic.

  2. Looked like Igor wanted to man bettman needs to let goalie fights happen look at the battle of Alberta or Pennsylvania come on get the audience back

  3. And THIS is why you dont fight nor bring in pillow hands to the Zamboni- because of interstate rivals like this!
…Well, maybe after a few shots and some cold ones….

  4. I grew up playing hockey. My dad played hockey. We watched and reffed hockey as well. Big fans. Love the game. I fully support fighting in general. Cheap shot on the captain? Drop the gloves. Down 6-1 on the third? Screw it, let's throw down. 3 quick goals? Fight somebody to spark your team. I get it, I support it, I love it.

With that said, I think a pre-planned 5 on 5 line brawl to start a game is dumb. At least wait for the first big hit or a crash into the goalie. The spontaneity of a fight is half the fun.

  5. The number of people who didn't watch the whole video before commenting is hilarious. I personally agree that it was a bad choice to not immediately switch to the wide angle, but it does exist, and you can't say it's bad camera work. Bad directing/producing, sure.

  6. It's kind of sick that they use Rempe as a punching bag, he's what 21? he's still a kid. His brain is still developing he's definitely getting concussion. He's going to be another Belak, Boogaard , Ewan, Simon. They pump up the fighting but it's like seeing someone beat on a Junior High Kid.

  7. Well, some may have seen it as entertaining, but how smart is it for both teams to be short four players for a whole game? This is why the 'Rock-Em Sock-Em' approach is nuts in the 21st century.

  8. Game Misconducts for secondary fights is ridiculous. 10 min misconduct would be more than fine.

  9. I don’t know why they can’t just use the wide view to show all the action. Everyone has a huge hd tv, you don’t need to zoom in!!!

  10. I bet that either, or both, coaches told Tierney & Vesey to grab each other quickly making the Rempe/MacDermid bout a secondary one. The other 3 fights were just nonsense and the players should know the rules better. They got themselves tossed for nothing.

  11. Rempe is pretty useless outside of fighting if we’re being honest. Him being in the league just makes the good ole Canadian mentally of grit continue on. Speed and Skill > Fighting.
