What a surprise. Reilly comes back, and the team goes back to vaporous defense. First goal, guy standing all alone in front of Woll, screening him. Second goal, guy standing all alone in front of Woll, takes the pass and scores. Third goal, brutal 2 on 1… but Woll needed to get that one. Woll later redeems himself making a save on a pass across while the WHOLE TEAM tries to check one guy on one side of the ice, followed by another similar chance a bit later. Third period saw MORE vapour, and a Kucherov breakaway. Woll held them in it, but let in another weak one on ANOTHER 2 on 1.
Just not acceptable, the defense just wasn't even there tonight. Woll did all he could, but he wasn't getting any help.
Why exactly is Brodie in the lineup? I'm not really seeing the upside. For every 1 decent play he makes, he's on the ice for 3 or more goals against. Not very good math.
