Vladimir Tarasenko, Panthers Pregame: Florida at Ottawa Senators

Florida Panthers forward Vladimir Tarasenko speaks before his team plays the host Ottawa Senators on Thursday, April 4, 2024.

Vladimir Tarasenko is back in Ottawa for the first time since being acquired by the Panthers at the NHL Trade Deadline.

Coach Paul Maurice said Thursday that defenseman Aaron Ekblad will miss the remainder of the regular season.

Ekblad was hurt in Tuesday’s 5-3 loss to the Montreal Canadiens. Florida is 0-2 on this road trip and has lost eight of their past 10 (2-7-1).

Florida was down 5-2 late in the third before Sam Bennett scored.

Anton Lundell and Aleksander Sasha Barkov also scored for the Panthers; Anthony Stolarz took the loss.

Florida visits the Boston Bruins on Saturday afternoon.
