get this man a stone bust and put it outside the fucking bell centre

It’s the annual BS I have to hear from the rival fan bases in Canada. Thankfully, they’re usually eliminated by the second round, some in the first.

Should start calling these Martyisms or something

He’s right. Despite being a lottery team, Slafkovsky took a major step forward; we’re starting to see which guys are part of the future; and HuGo likely knows exactly what pieces they’ll need to acquire going forward.

I expect another busy draft in June

I’m not a fan of much this organization has done over the last 10 years but Marty is definitely one of them!

Bit of a heavy metaphor the coach chose. Hmm.

He’s really the best coach for a rebuilding team and developing kids. I wonder if he’ll stay when the team he’s ready to win and how he’ll adjust to higher expectations.

I also like that Hughes is taking his time and not rushing it with questionable “win now” type decisions.

  9. I’m glad we’re scraping the bottoms. Finishing in the middle of the pack for most of the past 30 years has absolutely wasted us.

I’ve watched the majority of Habs games this season, and I think there were only two or three nights that I sincerely felt I’d wasted my time by tuning in. Nearly every game was entertaining, and that hasn’t been the case for quite a few seasons.

Pretty sure I watched Mike Johnson from TSN do a video about an ideal season for us at the start of the season. He basically said ideally we would start strong and stay over .500 and in range of a wildcard up until the trade deadline, fix the three goalie system, trade for assets and tank hard after for a better pick. He also mentions Slaf taking a next step. We hit pretty close to that so can’t complain.
