  1. awesome trade for the blue shirts hopefully they will get the respect they deserve now from all the haters

  2. I don't agree with the notion that the rangers are a 'pretender team carried by their goalie'. Yes , Shesterkin is having a phenomenal year and the Vezina is basically his to lose at this point. However , what stanley cup winning team (almost ever) hasn't had great goaltending ? Vasilevsky is/was considered the best goalie in the NHL at many points , would you say that the lightning are carried by Vasy ?

Rangers just win games by scoring timely goals , they don't win games 5-2. Just because the rangers don't win in the same ways that Col,Fla,or TBL do , doesn't make them 'pretenders'. They're more akin to the Islanders of the past 3 years (outside of this one obv). Win games 3-2 or 2-1 , have the talent to score timely goals and limit meaningful shots on net. That formula requires depth in the lineup , which is what they just got from their trades getting Copp , Vatrano , and Motte. Rangers weren't looking to play and win games like Col,Fla,or TBL , they were looking to improve on how they already play games and win.
