We will need both UPL and Levi next year, if they don't have a goalie meeting with the GM and coach starting next year saying "okay guys were not looking for a starter here, we want a Boston model of goaltending and your our guys bar none. You will both live and die in that net this year so you better support each other and lift each other up because i don't plan on changing it" they would 100% understand, If one of them knows the other is having better game be honest, i notice UPL is on fire he should get the net, or upl admitting the kid is on fire it should be his net tonight

If we end 1 to 2 points away again this year I have a feeling grenato is safe, obviously if we squeak in he is fine for a long time.
Dear Diary, its game 77….Don finally called a timeout at an appropriate time and it looked like he was yelling at the players…nah that can't be. Can it?!
I watched the post-game presser Torts did, he handled it great tbh. They outplayed us, they just didn't capitalize on their chances (but we did). My biggest
gripe was how the ref did not call a penalty for too many men against Philly in the first period.
One of the Isles, Caps, Pens or Flyers will get in without affecting us… just because that's the other div's 3rd spot. So, if they all have to face each other, I hope one just rises and helps us by cleaning the clock of the rest. Still, we need help and a lot of it as well we need to take care of business. Detroit and Washington we should be able to do.. those other 3.. well, if we can't win them then maybe this team does not belong in the playoffs. They can do it.. BUT!!!
Someone better get on Cozens to find his game during the off season. He really needs to find his game again because he is holding this team back. Also really surprised Granato called a timeout. Hopefully he learned his lesson that it can be useful to use before the game gets out of control.
The game puck should go to Granato for using his timeout when the Sabres desperately needed it.
There's one other thing the flyers have that we don't anymore, and that's Danny Briere 😔 he was my favorite player growing up

Quinn has been solid this year. Doesn't look like he's missed the majority of this season with injuries at all. Would have been great to see what Quinn and peterka could have pulled off this year together
The Boys started OK, then got scored on and the Flyers were flying, finishing hits, rushing and getting to the puck, putting men in the crease, everything the Boys were not doing. Fixing to crater, again. Time out. We finally got to witness Granato reading the riot act, kicking some azz… Boyz picked it up a notch… So glad we got Clifton… Boyz started to slip away, again… We missed the second azz chewing, during the long commercial time out, witnessed by the talking heads. This at least put enough compete in us to keep fighting a Flyers team that tried, though unsuccessfully, very hard to protect Fedotov. Like we did with Tokarski. A win's a win. Very glad to see the Don pissed off for once.
Quinn changes our offense, if he has a healthy season we might have to really pay him. Love his game
Granato still needs to be replaced but Tortorella is not the guy to hire. Great to see Quinn catching fire.
No matter the circumstances there's no bad time to beat Philly. All around they finally dug deep in a game they needed to win. 😊

If it weren’t for that “Pity Point”, Buffalo and Detroit would be dead even in that last playoff spot with 74 points!
While Philly, New Jersey and Washington would have 72, and Pittsburgh would have 70! Not to mention that the Islanders would have a measly 68 points!
All of those teams would be chasing Buffalo and Detroit! I’m sorry, I don’t care if you lose in Regulation, OT or a SO, you still LOST and deserve ZERO points!

Wow ,I feel like I won a lottery tonight and we played only mediocre ,the hockey gods do like our Sabres after all,even though we only showed 4 30 mins Upl plays like he wants a cup if Upl takes the Sabres to the playoffs to me he is Hasek like
If we had Quinn and Levi took all of Comries starts we would be top 3 in the division. I still believe we can do this! We need the penguins and islanders to lose today! Lets go Buffalo!!!
How about Granato laying into the team after that embarrassing, lackluster, half-hearted performance of the 1st half of the game? That was great to see. They were playing like chumps who couldn't care less. But after getting the riot act read to them they found their jump again and played like a team that belonged on the ice against the other team.

Despite being out-shot all game, I felt we matched up well, especially physically, against the Flyers. The boys weren't intimidated at all and threw 35 hits of their own in this game. Maybe they have learned something?
At least these games mean Something.
