Once again, the referee failed to apply the penalty shot rule correctly. This was NOT a penalty shot.
Why?
Because the attacking player was not denied a reasonable goal scoring opportunity. He got a shot on the net. Goalie had to make a save. That was a reasonable goal scoring opportunity. So no penalty shot. Minor for hooking. Nothing more.
