  1. It's such a double edged sword for Pens right now. Not good enough to do anything in the playoff, but not bad enough to warrant a rebuild. Reminds me of the Red Wings in the mid-2010s

  2. Bad first two periods from the bolts but made it interesting in the 3rd. Looks like we will play Boston in round 1 which should be an interesting matchup

  3. this battle for the last playoffs spots in the East is one of many to come. Pittsburg vs Islanders on April 17 will end it all.

  4. How embarrassing to get into the playoffs with more defeats than victories. That goes for the Flyers, Isles and Caps as well.

  5. This one stings as a lightning fine. That being said, the fact that four teams are tied in points% for that last wild card spot is insanity

  6. I couldn’t have imagined being in this position 3 weeks ago. This team FINALLY has the belief to push for the playoffs. Going to the game on Monday, let’s keep er rolling boys! LGP!

  7. Honestly pretty surprised with how close this game was, Bolts really played some bad defense today. Perbix and Raddysh had moments where their controllers died, and outside of the third period, offensive pressure was nonexistent. Interesting to see if this is actually how the team plays or if they're just tired from being on a pretty brutal road trip with stiff resistance

  8. I was there, great comeback effort from the Bolts but you can’t expect to win games from down 4-1. Tampa has several injuries and have played a lot of hockey in a short time so it was a good effort. The Haydn Fleury incident with the ref was really scary, hope Steve Kozari is alright.

  9. I was so annoyed the first two periods of this game watching Tampa not pushing at all. It was like they got told they were guaranteed a Playoff seed and went "cool, so we don't need to try anymore." Not like I want them breaking bones to win games, I want them to be healthy for the playoffs, but letting Pittsburg control the game most of the time doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in how they will do against New York in a few weeks. I was much happier in the third period when they got all the way to a 4-4 score. They need to make a push to try and get third in the division, a long shot but, hey, it would mean they are fighters and not just skating by.

Also, they need to resign Stamkos. That dude has been carrying that team the entire time I've been watching hockey. The only way he should be taking off his Tampa jersey is when he retires being a hockey player.

  10. Proud of my PENS for playing well, with heart. Kucherov, Hedman, Stamkos–Crosby, Malkin, this is the stuff of legends. Hanging on to leads would be nice, so are regulation wins.

  11. If the Penguins do make the playoffs, I think everyone who blasted Dubas for the Guentzel trade owes him a big apology. Guentzel's been fantastic in Carolina. And Bunting will never put up the kind of offensive numbers Guentzel has. But Bunting has been exactly what the Penguins needed up front. I've seen some people make comparisons to the James Neal for Patric Hornqvist trade, and there are so many parallels.

Still a lot of hockey to be played, though.

  12. At least the Penguins are playing well for a spot while every other team that is trying to clinch keeps losing points, no team wants a spot more than penguin’s.

  13. Kuch got 3 points again today, we won 2/3 on this road trip (3 in 4 days), and we’re still playing well. Not too worried by this one

  14. as long as nobody got injured ….I don't care about the loss. Panthers, Rangers, Bruins ….we are playing somebody good no matter what. But I'll take the exciting comeback.

  15. jersey disappointment :/ (i say as a fan who loves your channel and doesn’t actually care i just love the pens)

  16. i haven’t been this stressed during a penguins regular season game in my life (i’m only 26)

  17. Crosby’s between the legs deflection from the high slot that hit the corner post was gorgeous. Might have been his career best goal had it gone in, and that’s saying something.

  18. Pens making a cup run đŸ€Ł

Seriously though… it's impressive. Seizing the opportunity since no one else seems to want that 3rd metro spot.

  19. I read that Crosby’s the first player in NHL history to score 40 goals at 36 or older
. Wild the guy is still one of the top 5 players in the NHL at his age!

  20. I'm not exactly sure what turned the Penguins on all of a sudden, perhaps desperation kicked in, but over the past week or so they have looked like a completely different team than they did the rest of the season.
