I don't think Dubas will make a major splash….he is too attached to his core group. Unless he always speaks so highly of players incase there's trade potential but based on what he says in the media he gives the impression that he's overly attached. I liked Dubas up until the Kadri trade. Now I'm pretty much tired of alot of things with this franchise or maybe its covid fatigue . Anderson is a top 10 goalie in the League. There are no better options out there unless they draft that largely talked about goalie. Leafs improve defense and then Freddy turns into a top 5 goalie in the league! And regarding Speeza I like this move. Speeza still has a good shot. Age means nothing it's how a guy takes care of his body, previous injuries and genetics.

I don't think Freddy has played his best season in Toronto as of yet. I can't see the Leafs making that trade. Only option left build a team around Andersen. Sign 3 defensemen Sandin as a depth player 2 240 lbs wingers who can grind in the corners down low you know the thing. Possibly by 2025 sign a Number one goalie and win a Cup. In a perfect world !
