I’ll be honest I had written this team off for the season and I’m normally pretty optimistic. I had already switched my bbq cover to the Toronto blue jays (I’m in Canada) and had to switch it back just now. That is a first. Sid is the man.
I remember when it seemed like Sid was the only person that had not given up on this team around the trade deadline, he has proven a lot of people (to include myself) dead wrong.
Congrts to my Pittsburgh penguins for showing that they never gave up and I love how you can see this team getting comfortable with the new player's in each game that goes by including the 2 really young gun's in Puustenin and O'Connor these 2 player's are giving this team the small shot of youth and energy they have not had the past couple seasons, it's about to get extra interesting people because everyone had this team buried hahaha, never bet against the best player in the world. And it's really nice to see Michael Bunting discovering how much fun the game is playing on sids line, the Penguins are actually looking like a dangerous team to any of the eastern team's who are in the playoffs have to be a little nervous because of the the thought of having to play a team who all of a sudden looks like 1 of the best team's in the entire league. And if Rakell would start burying some of his chances and actually started to help this team score more goals and for crying out loud what the hell is going on with giving up multiple goal leads? If the penguins can get the whole team on board with the game plan and actually get them playing at their best and get them to buy into playing full team defense and make sure the plan remains simple play above average defense and just get everyone to buy into playing the best defense they can and teach them to remain patient in all situations and take advantage of the good defense and score off the opposition making mistakes and show them the fruits of their labor, the team that's usually hoisting the cup is the team who plays the most simple game and the team that plays the best team defense. And it doesn't hurt to have another goalie capable of going into a zone and helping this team because to be honest Jarry hasn't impressed me yet this season? It was horrible watching this team score 5 goals and end up losing the game because of a few soft goals given up by Jarry it's like he ran out of steam and forgot how to make easy saves? So we should be showing Kyle Dubus some love because fan's were making it sound like he was the worst GM in hockey but his decision to aquire the goalie that has been on a tear, all of a sudden most of the hater's have been hiding because they were being brutal towards Dubus and they did it in comment sections and now that they realize that everyone now knows that those fan's don't know shit about hockey period.

Bunting has brought a new dynamic to the team guentzel didn't. He's got grit and not afraid to get dirty in front of the net.
