What do you think if we give 1st pick and one or two minor prospects to a team to take on Palats contract and work out with Toronto a trade for Tavares? Something like we give the Leafs 2nd or 3rd pick plus a prospect and they retain half of Tavares' cap. Toronto wont be re-signing him and we get a physical Centre. And then we put Tavares on 2nd line and Nico to centre the 3rd.
Brady is a pain in the ass. He is that player you hate when he isn’t on your team and love when he is.
MacDermid and Smith need to be resigned. I’ve been a Smith fan and defended him all season on different websites/people. I have his alternate jersey game worn gloves also 🙂 I don’t care about the penalties he takes. Eventually he makes up for it on the PK or 5v5. I texted my nephew and called him a “pure goal scorer” because he gives him crap sometimes. 🙂

It was pretty embarrassing watching Brady bully the whole team at one point. I’m asking myself “when are you going to hit him back”? Nope, nothing.
I found it funny when Nico slowly skated to the empty net and put the puck in. I’m sure that’s going to come back in some form next season when they play each other again.

Ideas for videos after the Devils are done for the season: Weekly playoff recaps or previews, review of UFAs and which players would be a good fit in NJ, a few random Devils history videos in the summer.
Also, Sharangovich is a top 30 goal scorer with 30 goals (and counting) tonight. Stings.
You are so reactionary its ridiculous! Smith has a good game and now we need to resign him? He's barely a 7th D man on any teams depth chart. Yes he plays with heart, but we need to improve our D and not keep charity cases on the roster. Macdermid wasn't on anybodys radar 2 months ago, most people on here wouldn't know who he was if they were sitting next to him. Luxury player that most nights will be a scratch on good/playoff type teams. Lets address the elephants in the room. People come to see me carry my purse around the ice Hughes. Both of them! Luke is a horrible D man. His stats are an example of how deceiving numbers can be. He doesnt block shots, clear the front of the net or hit anyone. Why is he playing D? Because he can pass? Jack isnt playing hurt, he has just disappeared. Either he's pissed at the GM or the teams style of play or the line shuffling, he's a soft prima donna player who will compile stats, but doesn't have the heart of a champion. Send him up to Jackson hole and spend some time with Holik this winter. He'll probably cry after a week or 2.

So I'm with you in being all about Fitz getting Brady if he's truly available.. That being said they'll be asking for a HAUL. Like are we talking Mercer, Casey and a 1st for Brady? Are we talking Bratt and Nemec for Brady and Chychrun? I doubt Fitz is going to Dougie this summer asking him if he'd waive his NMC to go to OTT (he'd probably say no and it'd just piss him off, he's coming off the torn pec so not exactly all time high trade value), Nico, Timo and the Hughes's obviously aren't being touched (if it wasn't Tkachuk Nemec would also be a non-starter in trade talks), that leaves Holtz as an option, maybe one of Siegs, Marino or Bahl could be sold off to 'bolster' their top 4? How much of a trade chip is Gritsyuk or Hammenaho?
How much would you be willing to pay? And how much/what do you think Ott would be asking for?
Tonight is a very clear eye opener for me that soon as the devils start getting bullied and other team starts hitting we just lose the game. And it’s also very obvious in the NHL all teams know you just need to hit the devils and they fall apart. That is #1 goal fits needs to figure out how to fix cause it’s a massive issue with the team and our defence gets killed along the boards by toughness

Bratt for Brady Tkachuk period
I’d like you to go to the point pleasant beach devils beach bash bc it seems like a lotta fun and you can basically film all you want and give us more info about it.
The biggest assist of the game goes to the Clock. If the time didn't run out when it did the Sens would have taken this game. I would agree, MacDermid needs to be retained in the off season.This team needs someone to defend its players. It was good to see the "Invisible Devil" (Palat) came out of hiding and got o the board. A bit late in the season but still…
Before Matthew Tkachuk was traded to Florida, I wanted the Rangers to trade for him. There are only a handful of players in the league who are talented and can score a lot of points. Huberdeau for Tkachuk was what the Panthers needed to become true contenders. The Devils would probably do well making a similar trade if they could. The Devils are oversaturated with skill. They can afford to trade a skilled guy for much-needed grit and resilience. I don't know enough about the Devils to make a suggestion though.

Devils should have a good draft pick this year I would package that Holtz and more for Brady
The actual score was 4-3 but we all know the realistic score was Ottawa tied the game on that Batherson shot, or that Pinto chance in the dying seconds off the far post. They did exactly the same thing that they have been doing in blowing leads and while I'm glad we won the game, it's fair to say the final score has an asterisk next to it.
Looking ahead, maybe we'll see Mcdermid and Reaves square off. That would be something.
