Torts sounds like a beaten man. But then again to even have a chance after all the crap that's happened this year is a minor miracle. Losing a 1A goaltender Trading Sean Walker Cutter Gauthier being a baby. Benching Coots Torts getting suspended Worst Power Play in the league No Superstar scorers. Etc Etc Etc. Still a chance.
It’s sad to see what appears to be Flyers fans in the comments saying “fire torts” I don’t think those people understand that what Torts has done for the Flyers is incredible. He has taken a bad team and brought them near the playoffs, and unfortunately now all of it is crumbling but that’s to blame on the mediocre roster and lack of goaltending
I think.everyone forgets this is a rebuilding team. This coach has gotten the best out of nothing. Even the best player on the flyers is a #4 or #5 player on a legit contender. Torts has done the best with no elite level talent. A different coach wouldn't have the same results as Torts.
My only problem is that I used to love watching this team even in the loses. I always felt like there was a fight to come back no matter how bad the score was. Now in the past couple weeks I don’t see that anymore

Some of us can’t see the big picture here. We came into this season with NO high expectations at all. The whole league did not hesitate to believe that we were going to ride the bottom of the league again. Look at us now though! Yea, it’s pretty close as to whether or not we’ll make the playoffs. BUT, no major injuries, not really any major losing streaks (except now) and just all around good discipline. I would be more than satisfied if they make playoffs
