  1. I hope they get Cole Eiserman, imagine him on the top line with Suzuki and Slaf, and then Caufield can go on second line and make that line better controlling the play, I can see them trade Xhekaj or someone else or with someone else to get Iginla also.

  2. Kudos to our current HABS management team for emphasizing and focusing on player development.

This is paying off in dividends and will continue to do so IMO.

  3. I can’t believe people are actually wanting Tij! That’s ridiculous he isn’t a top 10 pick! Catton and Eiserman are going to be 100% better ! Even Helenius is better !

  4. Remove those rose coloured glasses, for the Canadiens to make the playoffs next season they'll need to improve 22 plus points in the standings. Unlikely in a division including: Fla, Bos, Tpa, Car, Tor, Buf, Ott Det. Be patient.

  5. Lindstrom won’t be available at 5. I think we need a goal scorer and if not Iginla, I’m taking my chances on Eisermann!

  6. Obviously Lindstrom is the guy if he’s available but he won’t be at 5. Only way is if we move up in the draft higher!

  7. Tell me: Demidov. Last year michkov dropped because of Russian factors. Could Demidov be available at 5-6? And would the Habs pass on Demidov like they did Michkov?

  8. Could they take Catton at 1-5 and then work a deal to move up to get Iginla? That would be the ideal draft. I'd trade harris or Barron for that

  9. To me, the best possible picks for Montreal are centred on a forward: #1. Celebrini of course, franchise player, I believe better than Bedard when it comes to building a winning team #2,. Demidov – he will be awesome, super talent and passion for hockey, hard worker in order #3. Lindstorm big strong center with skills, a1B center of the near future #4. Iginila complete player who wll b e awesome in a couple of years 5. Catton, tons of skills, same as Igninla in terms being a top 6 in 2 or 3 years

  10. Josh has great taste – MUSE is an awesome band. Iginla is the X-factor. Creates offence on the forecheck, MTL doesn't have that. The closest thing they have Flo-X, who's a beast.

  11. Tij Iginla is only 17 too. One of the youngest player of the draft. The 8 months younger than Catton is huge and it should be considerate.

  12. Checking in from The Philippines. I'd be happy with any forward mentioned. Wondering what trade Montreal has planned for this year's draft.

  13. They should pick at (5,6,7) Beckett Sennecke. More upside, playoff performer along with Beck, Florian, Mailloux, Dobes, Fowler, Hutson and Kapanen.

  14. So if the draft stayed like this I wonder what they could get extra from Calgary to trade down with them so they could grab Iginla instead.
Swap picks and we get the Vancouver 1st rounder this year from Calgary and also remove all the contingencies for the Monahan trade so that the Calgary 1st rounder next year would be unprotected. That would give us three 1st rounders this year and two 1st rounders next year. We may have to give up another maybe 3rd rounder or so this year to offset that Vancouver 1st rounder we would get this year.
