Crazy how 2/3 people on the 4th line was our 1st line for years

  3. Shard4771

Very happy to see Gorges mentioned. He was such a good defensive defenceman

  4. Desharnais on this list is wild. At least flip him with Tatar

  5. Petit_Hughie

Some of you motherfuckers quickly forget how Price was in his prime. This defensive is more than enough.

  6. Now let’s do the opposite exercise!

    LW | C | RW
    —|—|—-
Dwight King | Mike Blunden | Andreas Martinsen
Eric Tangradi | Petteri Nokelainen | Brock Trotter
JT Wyman | Bud Holloway | Drayson Bowman
Bobby Farnham | Martin St-Pierre | Riley Barber

    LD | RD
    —|—
    Brent Sopel | David Schlemko
    Brett Lernout | Victor Bartley
    Shawn Belle | Jay Leach

If you remember more than half these names you are a certified masochist

Replace Davey with Domi and this list is pretty good

  8. jj-frankie_jj

If this is an exercise best players in their primes then I’d add Kovalchuk, Vanek and Briere. Maybe even Hemsky lol.

  9. epic_pork

People forget Domi’s 72 point season with us too easily. I really loved that dude. Lots of dumb penalties but damn he loved it here. Wish he was still with us.

No wonder it’s been over 30 years without Lord Stanley.

  11. philjitsu

Drop Desharnais for one of Andrei Kostitsyn, Mike Ryder or Eric Cole.

  12. eriverside

Gionta wasn’t that great for us, not sure why he’s here. But if we’re looking at their career, Kovalchuk, Vanek should be added.

If we’re looking at their time with the habs, Domi should be in there too.

    gallagher is mad underrated

he had two 30 goals seasons, and the two seasons after that he was also on pace for 30

  14. Comprehensive_Will75

That’s probably a Stanley Cup winning lineup. Weber was a beast on the pk and defensively on our run to the SCF. Markov, Kovalev, Subban command the PP. Price takes care of the rest. There’s enough scoring depth to get the 3 goals he needs.

  15. Subject_Translator71

Desharnais should not be there. He was a center and would not be better than the top 5 there. Move Caufield to the left and add Toffoli to the right.

  16. schmarkty

Literally no one scores on this team. Plekanec and Danault vs anyone is a 0-0 game. Add in Weber and Price. Impenetrable. Just gotta hope Patches and Subban can carry the offence.

  17. schmarkty

We could have a lot of fun with “players who had so much promise that never panned out”

    Jiri Sekac

    Alex Galchenyuk

    Victor Mete

    Kostitsyn bros

    Nathan Beaulieu

    Sven Andrighetto

    Daniel Carr

    Zack Fucale

    Jared Tinordi

    Alex Semin

  18. EmmyHomewrecker

Oh man that first line would be horrible. Nick doing all the work and praying every game that Pacioretty and Kovy are gonna feel like playing that night.

Not sure why Gally is there except to just acknowledge him. Put Michael Ryder or something, or even Domi.

Look I have a signed Davey jersey but what is he doing on this list? lol
