The race for the Pacific Division is back on | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk

It was a fantastic weekend for the Edmonton Oilers grabbing back-to-back wins over the Colorado Avalanche and Calgary Flames. After their four point weekend, the Oilers now sit three points behind the Vancouver Canucks for first in the Pacific Division.

Victory over the Avalanche came first for the Oilers. Edmonton put six by Alexander Georgiev including a couple from Evander Kane, who ended his career long goalless drought. On Saturday night, it was a tighter game versus the Flames at the Saddledome; however, with a goals from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Evan Bouchard, Connor Brown and Leon Draisaitl, the Oilers won the game 4-2.

What did you think of the game? Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live at noon for Oilersnation Everyday over on the Oilersnation YouTube channel to discuss all the action from over the weekend. Want your thoughts heard on the show? Leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat throughout the show. Your opinions are always welcomed by Tyler and Liam.

Later in the program, former Edmonton Oiler Jason Demers joins Tyler and Liam. With the Jason, the three of them will break down the Oilers weekend games against the Avalanche and Flames. They’ll ask Jason about the importance of that Colorado win after the narrative going around that Edmonton doesn’t beat good teams. Additionally, they’ll get his thoughts on the playoff races in both the Western and Eastern Conference.

  1. You guys holy shit. Please stop thinking science is stupid. You know how your pupils dilate in dark spaces? It's like expanding the lens of a camera, they're trying to let in more light to help you see.

Your pupils are already small when you're outside on a sunny day, so when you look at the sun, it's still bright, but it doesn't blind you. When the sun is blocked by the moon, it becomes less bright out in general, so your pupils dilate. Then, if you're staring right at the eclipse, as soon as the sun peeks out from behind the moon again, you're standing there staring directly at it with dilated pupils. You also can't react faster than the speed of light, so there's no way to squint or look away before the sunlight hits your retinas and burns the shit out of them.

You know the feeling of stepping out of a dark house into bright sunlight? It's like that but instead stepping outside and staring directly at the sun.
