I truly think you should be thinking about 12 regulars out what do you really expect maybe you complained to much
a bag of pucks for weber is a great trade… even 5 years ago. weber the human pylon, a terrible and embarrassment of a capt
If this is the only move Montreal makes or is able to make i am pretty okay with that can’t believe we got Guryanov for basically Shea Weber amazing work by Hughes and to be honest this may be why Montreal passed on Kravstov because Guryanov is basically exactly like Kravstov similar size but Guryanov has way more speed and is a little more skilled in my opinion and is more proven he’s young and has proved he can score 20 goals and I think Montreal may raise his game and make him into a 30 goal scorer and probably 20 goals on a bad year and that’s not bad if we can sign him for 4 years for less then what Dach makes because how are you gonna ask for more then Dach is getting when Dach was on pace for 50 points so if Montreal can sign Guryanov to 3.1 mill that’s a WIN especially if we can get rid of Armia and replace Armia with Guryanov
Solid hosting LS!
I couldn't believe it when I saw we got Gurianov for Dadonov. I don't know what happened to make him fall out of favor with the staff over on Dallas, but I was high on this guy when he first came into the league. I figured he'd be 25g 20a 45pts type of guy, maybe not great for a top round pick mind you but still a useful player to have.
Seems like the perfect type of player for a new scenery. I think he'll actually be a true asset unlike Dadonov but who knows. I haven't followed Denis closely since his draft year.
Habs fans are delusional is they think this current team is closer to being a contender. There are 4 forward in Suzuki, Caufield , dach and Slafkovsky worth keeping. The rest needs to go.
It is 100% 3 slots of money retention. Capfriendly misread the tweet they replied two that said two. They corrected the tweet with a subsequent tweet.
Well done Laura…. Hey miss your Medals in the background… from a 3 time Ironman I remember when you had those!
Rock On Wranglers!!
I went to the game in Philadelphia Friday night, just seeing Mike Matheson in person, the way he really creates space for himself and his teammates from his skating in open space is insane, as well as the defence as a whole, really jumping into the play and being involved the whole game, our defence really has improved overall.
Just wanted to say Thank You for answering my question in last weeks episode Laura! You and Scott are my Primary place to go for Habs related news and have helped keep my interest even in years when we aren't in the playoff race.
But honestly, they should get another Russian speaking player, if they want him to be the best he can be. And a good one or at least one with good work and life ethic. I don't know, if there's another player in the team that speaks Russian fluently? It's really important for anyone who comes from any nation.
With Guri – Last year was the beginning of his performance really declining. Rick Bownes healthy scratched him a bunch of times and alluded to his lack of effort.
Dallas extended him for a one year “prove it” deal. It really seemed like the effort was there, this year.
The coaches have been working with him, but made it sound like it was information overload. Hopefully a hard reset is what he needs. He’s so fast and gets a handful of breakaways each game. I hope the change of scenery unlocks his potential.
They have no obligation whatsoever to disclose injury details…considering the media spotlighting and criticizing maybe this is the best way to keep them at bay.
There is no "shot" at Bedard, 6.5% chance, 6%, 7%…..the differences are minuscule…finish last you still have a 75% chance of not getting first pick. Concentrate on progress and development and take your "shot" where you finish. There's depth in the draft and a 3rd rounder could end up a late bloomer too. Work with what you get.
Getting Gurianov for 33 yr old Dadonov, they see something that they can work and build with in Guri. If at the season's end they think he's not worth it, they don't re-sign him. Size, speed, big shot…decent return for Dadonov. Guri practiced on the 1st line, they start by showing confidence in him, good start. Good move. Any other movables are injured or for a draft pick, I'm sure Hughes had his potentials weighed out and took Guri while the getting was good.
looks good!
