Simmer is signing a one-day contract, right? So technically they could put him in the lineup. At this point, what is there to lose? Hell, he’ll be more effective than half of these bums

I’m just glad Danny and Jonesy have been transparent about this roster all year. They gave them the opportunity to win and try, but unfortunately they fell short. When your roster doesn’t have high end talent that can score goals consistently on the PP and even strength and you rely on goals on the rush or goals that rely on heavy forecheck, you’re going to break down. Especially with a young core that we have. Danny and Jonesy realized this from the beginning.
Couple that with the fact Hart completely fucked our goaltending situation up and we have the worst combined save percentage since he left the team, you’re just not going to have a winning team. I’m still very excited about this teams future. A ton of draft picks, gonna trade some guys for more picks, then, hopefully move up or make trades if needed.

What exactly is the plan to aquire high end talent? We won’t tank, but we aren’t making the playoffs with mid-late first rounders either. I will be asking this question a lot.

The idea of re-signing TK is looking a whole lot different than it did a month ago. IMO they’ve gotta find a trade.
