I mean I honestly think this is more of a formality/press box filler than anything. I’d assume Ras *should* be back and they’ll have Veleno slot in as Center along with Czarnik. ZAR will likely only play if Ras isn’t good to go

Yet another chance to call up Kasper but another AHL lifer with minimal NHL experience gets tapped. With Copp out I am so fucking glad we can slot Czarnik and Aston-Reese into the lineup- those two really will put fear into the opposition.
Instead of being BOLD we continue “playing it safe”. We don’t deserve to make the playoffs because we’re too fucking timid. And it runs from the player level on the ice through the coach (low-event, no mistakes Lalonde) and all the way to the top and I include Stevie in that. Give me a reason we are playing Czarnik and Reese besides “they have NHL experience”? What good is that experience if they’re not good at NHL level hockey? They’re just filling out the roster and will get minimal minutes while we double shift Compher and Larkin.
Kasper could bring a youthful spark to the team… but why chance it? I say what have you got to lose? I know it’s b/c of injuries… but flooding the team with re-tread fourth line talent and playing it safe won’t get us into the playoffs. I’ve exhausted my personal supply of Hopium and this call up doesn’t help at all.
