  1. Chances are Matthews can end 70 and 40 goals and assists which would be incredible and I'm not even a Leafs fan. I just cheer for him. With this one goal per game and assist. He could very well end of with 70 and 42-43 which you cannot lie would be incredible. Hopefully he can keep up the pace.

  2. Its crazy how many points players are getting the last several years. I imagine a combination of rule changes plus smaller goalie pads?

  3. As a Leafs fan we gotta be proud.. We may never see a playoff win so we take whatever we can get ๐Ÿ˜Š

  4. He'll hit 70 in a week and shoot 80 the first week of May. I love my Leafs fans who can't grasp why a team fails so badly in the postseason when their center has 38 assists. Either they move him to wing or trade him, that's how this fairy tale ends. Hey go Leafs go baby lol

  5. lol would love to see buddy at 38 years old scoring 30 like Ovi did tonight. Matthews is unreal right now but to sustain the goal scoring I just donโ€™t see it

  6. Who couldโ€™ve predicted this from his first game in league he was made for this

  7. Matthews wouldnt even hit 60 in the 2007-2008 season that ovi hit 65 in. It's a Waaay easier scoring era we are in now.

  8. Steven Stamkos has 39 he's a scoring beast right now. It would be a miracle if he finishes the season with 50 goals.

  9. Things Iโ€™ve learned this season of hockey, Toronto is โ€œtoxicโ€ because of expectations from the fan base. And thank goodness for rempe, because without him I wouldnโ€™t even have watched any NHL,

  10. Matthews and Mcdavid are the new Ovi and Crosby. Letโ€™s see how the next 10 years unfold, and if they can maintain such high performance levels the same way Ovi and Sid did.

  11. Honestly, this guy scores so many key goals that either tie the game late, break the tie very late, or win it in OT. A true staple in this team's success.
